Limitations

 
  • Must be made of materials common to Chile and easily accessible in case the unit needs to be repaired by the user.
  • Materials sould be weather resistant and strucurally sound.
  • Must be smaller than 2m high by 1m wide.
  • Entire unit should be under 150 USD, so as to be easy for users to purchase.  Unit should be easily mass-produced to keep expenses down.
  • Unit should be able to be easily used by people with little or no education, or children.
  • Must desalinate 40 liters of water per day, and reduce salinity to no more than 1 ppt.
  • Must be powered by green energy, and not reliant on an outside power source.

  1. These are too general and I am not clear as to whether the whole unit is under $300 or your part of the design.
